It’s the child who’s being treated, not just the cavity. Sometimes this means taking extra time to explain a procedure. My patients’ parents are always invited to sit in on cleanings and procedures. I always want your experience to be as pleasant as possible and as a mother; I strive to create an environment of warmth and compassion for your child. It’s what I would expect for my son.”

Dr. Acosta grew up in a small town in Connecticut. She received her dental degree from the University of Connecticut in 2003. Her specialty training in pediatric dentistry was performed at the University of Maryland.
As a child, she knew she wanted to work with children. Before attending dental school, she volunteered at different daycare centers and summer camps. She has also worked as a childcare provider during church services and was even a teacher at Gymboree!
